A truck got wedged inside a tunnel in central Stockholm on Thursday, with authorities concerned the accident may have damaged cables in the tunnel's ceiling.

The accident occurred just before midday on Thursday in the tunnel between Stadsgårdsleden and Söder Mälarstrand.

All traffic heading westward from the Slussen junction, a critical Stockholm thoroughfare, was delayed, as emergency services worked to dislodge the vehicle.
Authorities were concerned that cables in the roof of the passage were damaged during the incident.
Experts warned earlier on Thursday that the Easter weekend often sees a lot of traffic accidents, particularly with so many Swedes heading out of town to enjoy the long weekend.
